Paper I (Poetry)
Q. No.1 Discuss the theme of Sundarkanda.
Q.No.2 Discuss Paradise Lost as an epic.
Q.No.3 Discuss John Donne as a Metaphysical Poet.
Q.No.4 Discuss The Rape of the Lock as a Social Satire.

Paper II (Drama)
Q. No. 1 Give a character sketch of Shakuntala.
Q.No.2 Discuss Hamlet’s madness.
Q.No.3 Give a character sketch of Viola.
Q.No.4 Dr. Faustus reflects the spirit of Renaissance. Discuss.

Paper III (Fiction)
Q. No.1 Discuss Tom Jones as a picaresque novel.
Q.No.2 Discuss the character of Don Quixote.
Q.No.3 Discuss Kenilworth as a historical novel.
Q.No.4 Write a note on Dickens' humour and pathos with special reference to Great Expectations.

Paper IV (Prose)
Q. No.1 Discuss J.L. Nehru’s prose style.
Q.No.2 Discuss Francis Bacon’s prose style.
Q.No.3 Discuss William Hazlitt as an essayist.
Q.No.4 Write a note on Republic.
