  कुंवर सिंह  कुंवर सिंह को भारतीय इतिहास में वीर कुंवर सिंह के नाम से जाना जाता है। उन्होंने अपने देश को ब्रिटिश शासन से मुक्त कराने के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहुति दे दी। लेकिन आज वे एक भूले-बिसरे नायक हैं। कम ही लोग उन्हें याद करते हैं। इतिहास के पन्नों में उनके योगदान को ज्यादा उजागर नहीं किया गया है। उन्हें एक महान योद्धा के रूप में याद करते हुए यह लेख भारत के स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में कुंवर के योगदान को उजागर करने का प्रस्ताव करता है।स्वतंत्रता के प्रथम युद्ध में वीर कुंवर सिंह ने जो भूमिका निभाई, वह हमारे देश के इतिहास में एक शानदार अध्याय है। वे भारतीय स्वतंत्रता के लिए शहीद हुए। 1857 में जब भारत ब्रिटिश शासन के खिलाफ खड़ा हुआ तब कुंवर सिंह लगभग 80 वर्ष के थे। उन्होंने अंग्रेजों और सहयोगी सेनाओं के खिलाफ बहादुरी से लड़ाई लड़ी। वे अंत तक अपराजेय रहे। वीर कुंवर सिंह का जन्म 1777 में बिहार के शाहाबाद जिले (अब भोजपुर, आरा) के जगदीशपुर में हुआ था। उनका जन्म जगदीशपुर के एक शाही परमार क्षत्रिय (राजपूत) परिवार में हुआ था। उनके पूर्वज महान राजा विक्रमादित्य के वंश के साथ-साथ मालवा ...
